A great workbench is essential to getting science and electronics work done!
Here is great project I saw from MCM TV2. I was surprised how easy this was to do.
I went to home depot, they were great about cutting the wood to approximate lengths to fit in the car.
Here is my design. Used 1″ overhang each side for clamping; 3′ x 5′ table top.
Requires:
4 of 4×4 x 3′ (Legs)
2 of 2×4 x 58″ (base, x)
2 of 2×4 x 31″ (base, y)
2 of 2×4 x 36″ (support across legs)
23/32 plywood sheet, 3′ x 5′
Purchased:
2 of 4×4 x 6′
3 of 2×4 x 10′
23/32 4′ x 8′ plywood
2 1/2″ #8 construction screws
Useful tools: Saw, corner clamp, clamps, drill, countersink bit
Home Depot will cut pieces for you to fit in your car! This one is for cutting the big sheets:
This one is for cutting the 2×4 and 4×4
It is helpful to pre-mark everything. Don’t push for exact cuts here as they are busy, just get in ballpark and make the precise cuts at home on your own time.
